The reason why I returned to Planet Fitness after years of working out at home will shock you.

It's not the fact that they're 24/5 (they close on Friday and Saturday nights which seems awesome for the workers).

It's not the new turf, machines, or stretching areas.

It's not the judgement free zone.

It's not the tutorial videos on each piece of equipment.

It's not the personal trainers or the group classes.

It's definitely not the Butterfly because that's old, or the Tootsie rolls.

It's not the friendly staff or clean facilities.

It's not that there are 100 locations in Georgia that I have access to with my Black Card or the 2,700 in the states.

It is not the fact that I can bring a friend on each visit.

It's the fact that I can walk in at 11pm and get a massage as a postpartum mom who works, homeschools, and is building a business.

Yes, I can work out and I do several times each week. However, I get a massage on the hydromassage bed or the massage chair and the Cryrobed each twice per week. My favorite thing about my membership besides it only being $25 / month is the self-care that I have access to. I've actually convinced so many of my family and friends to get memberships for this reason that I should be getting a commission.

The only things that are missing are pools and basketball courts, but keeping the maintence of a pool would increase the membership cost. Also, sweaty people near a pool is gross when you know that too many people aren't even showering well enough because they think the shampoo from their hair would clean their body.

Also, if you go after work during the week 5-7pm the diversity is mesmorizing for a multilingual culturally open-minded person like myself.

For date night last week, I took my husband for a walk (lol like a dog without a leash) on the treadmill and then we got two massages. A Planet Fitness gym membership can be life changing. I even started seeing results and it's only been 2 months!

I decided to begin working out with my mom-friends so we can do that instead of sitting around and drinking wine while our kids play.
